The Telluride Ski Resort opened on Thursday Thanksgiving day. The resort did a big effort to open the most terrain in years for opening day. The ice is nicely coming in, we have been having so much fun getting ready for the winter season. Our living room has multiple ski boots drying by the sliding glass door the ice boots are perched near the door awaiting the next adventure. Jack Robert’s Colorado ice climbing guide is left open and dog eared on the coffee table. This is going to be a great winter!

Turns in Ophir

M’Lin and I headed out to Ophir yesterday for the first tracks of the season. We skinned up “The Janes,” a popular backcountry area in Waterfall Canyon. There wasn’t much of a base, but the powder was knee deep. Not too shabby for day one!

Mmmm....ice!

- Upper Ingram.
With our recent cold snap the ice started to come in around Telluride. M’Lin and I took our picks for a walk up Lower Ingram Falls and got a good look at the conditions. Looks like it’s going to be a good season!
