Our Weather Policy

We generally run all of our trips rain or shine, so it is very uncommon that trips are cancelled due to poor weather conditions. However, if you suspect poor weather, please contact our offices the afternoon before your trip begins to check availability to re-schedule your trip for another day. If your trip is cancelled due to adverse weather and you are unable to re-schedule, you will be issued a credit for the full price of your trip. If you choose to cancel your trip due to weather, but our staff consider the conditions to be safe, you will not be issued a credit. Please note that once your trip begins, there are no refunds or credits issued due to inclement weather conditions. We do not issue refunds due to bad weather for any reason.

Participant Agreement, Release & Assumption of Risk

Prior to beginning your activity with the San Juan Outdoor School, you will be required to sign a Participant Agreement, Release and Assumption of Risk Form. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign the form for any child under the age of 18. If you will be bringing a child who is not your own, please have the parent of the child read and sign a copy of the form in advance. You must submit an original copy of the signed form in order for a minor to participate in any activity with the San Juan Schools. We ask that you read and consider the terms and conditions of our form carefully. Please contact us at: if you would like to receive a copy of this form prior to your trip’s start date.
