San Juan Outdoor Adventures Policies
Payment & Cancellation
For bookings with at least 7 days advance notice: A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of your total reservation amount is required at the time of booking. One week prior to your trip’s start, you will be charged the remaining 50%. The total reservation fee will serve as your non-refundable deposit.
For bookings with less than 7 days advance notice: A non-refundable deposit equal to 100% of your total reservation amount is required at the time of booking.
ALL BOOKINGS: If you have to cancel or make a change to your reservation for any reason and you give our office staff at least 48 hours of notice, we will issue you a credit for the total amount of your deposit. This credit is good for one year from the scheduled trip date. Changes or cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip’s start will not be eligible for a credit. Please note that there are no refunds.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash, money order or personal check.
We can accommodate most groups with enough notice. Special corporate rates may apply for large groups. Please contact our offices at for details.

Our Weather Policy
We generally run all of our trips rain or shine, so it is very uncommon that trips are cancelled due to poor weather conditions. However, if you suspect poor weather, please contact our offices the afternoon before your trip begins to check availability to re-schedule your trip for another day. If your trip is cancelled due to adverse weather and you are unable to re-schedule, you will be issued a credit for the full price of your trip. If you choose to cancel your trip due to weather, but our staff consider the conditions to be safe, you will not be issued a credit. Please note that once your trip begins, there are no refunds or credits issued due to inclement weather conditions. We do not issue refunds due to bad weather for any reason.
Participant Agreement, Release & Assumption of Risk
Prior to beginning your activity with the San Juan Outdoor School, you will be required to sign a Participant Agreement, Release and Assumption of Risk Form. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign the form for any child under the age of 18. If you will be bringing a child who is not your own, please have the parent of the child read and sign a copy of the form in advance. You must submit an original copy of the signed form in order for a minor to participate in any activity with the San Juan Schools. We ask that you read and consider the terms and conditions of our form carefully.
